The Reef by CuisinArt no longer exists under that name. In late 2021 the property merged with the neighbouring CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa to form a single address, Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club. If you were trying to book at The Reef, that is where to go.

Booking at Aurora Anguilla

Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club now brings the two former hotels together across some 121 hectares, straddling Rendezvous Bay and Merrywing Bay, with 178 suites and villas. The buildings that made up The Reef are still there: they form the resort's Merrywing section.

What has been added since the merger: Anguilla's only golf course, designed by Greg Norman and rebuilt in 2022, a nine-hole course, six restaurants, a water park included for guests, eleven pickleball courts and a twelve-room spa. The property belongs to Richard Schulze, founder of Best Buy, through Olympus Ventures.

What to know before you book

Aurora is not an all-inclusive, contrary to what many travellers assume of a Caribbean address of this calibre. Meals and drinks are settled on site.

One practical point matters more: the Merrywing section, the former Reef, closes from 15 July to 31 October. The spa closes from 17 August to 15 October, the nine-hole course from 6 July to 15 October, and the main course runs Thursday to Sunday only during that period. The other Anguilla address

Anguilla has a second option in our inventory, a very different one.
