Seabourn: five ships in service, and two that have left the fleet

Two ships have left the fleet, and the second departure is very recent. Seabourn Odyssey was sold to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in March 2023. Seabourn Sojourn was sold to the same operator in March 2025 and sailed under Seabourn colours until May 2026. Neither is sold under this brand any more. Five ships remain in service: Quest, Encore, Ovation, Venture and Pursuit.

What we carry, measured — and one figure that needs explaining

The fleet splits into two families: the classic ships, where every cabin is a suite with a veranda, and the two expedition ships built for ice work. That distinction comes before the date when you choose, because the two products are nothing alike.

Two expedition ships, built for it

Seabourn Venture was delivered on 29 June 2022 and Seabourn Pursuit entered service in August 2023. These are not cruise ships strengthened after the fact: the hull, the inflatables and hours set by the weather are part of the product. An expedition departure does not compare with a week in the Mediterranean, even under the same brand.

Where Seabourn comes from

Founded in 1986 by Norwegian investor Atle Brynestad and Warren S. Titus, first under the name Signet Cruise Lines. Based in Seattle, owned by Carnival Corporation.

What "small ship" costs and returns

A few hundred people. That opens ports large ships cannot approach, and closes the door on the choice of restaurants, the main-stage shows and the children's activities. It is a trade, not a superiority, and it is better to know which side you are on before booking. We will not say what the fare covers: ask your advisor for the written list of the exact departure.

No. Seabourn Odyssey was sold to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in March 2023, and Seabourn Sojourn to the same owner in March 2025, after sailing under Seabourn colours until May 2026. Their pages stay online to say what happened to them, and each points to a ship still sailing.
Yes, two, and they were built for it. Seabourn Venture was delivered on 29 June 2022 and Seabourn Pursuit entered service in August 2023. These are not strengthened cruise ships: the hull, the inflatables and hours set by the weather are part of the product.

Pick the family first, not the ship. The classic ships suit anyone wanting a suite with a veranda, careful food and Mediterranean or Caribbean ports. The two expedition ships, built for ice and carrying Zodiacs and submarines, are for Antarctica or the Arctic and a schedule built around landings. An advisor will tell you which one matches your dates.

We will not say it in the line's place. What the fare covers changes here from one departure, market and cabin grade to the next, and we have not measured it departure by departure. Ask your advisor for the written list of the exact departure before booking, not after.
Yes. This page shows the departures we carry online, and our inventory does not always cover the line's full catalogue. Call us with the date and itinerary you found: in most cases we can book it for you.
It depends on the departure and the market, not on the line. If French matters to you, say so before booking: it is checked departure by departure.
On fleets this small, yes: few cabins, and the best go early. Booking far ahead fixes a choice but commits money in advance. Talk cancellation terms through with your advisor before you decide.
Your agency, and it alone. Voyages AquaTerra operates under a licence from Quebec's Office de la protection du consommateur, your payments pass through a trust account, and the compensation fund for travel agency clients covers your departure. That holds whichever line you choose.
