Travelling as a group changes everything: seats are held before prices move, rooms are booked together, and one person stops carrying everyone else’s logistics. Voyages AquaTerra has been building group departures from Quebec since 2001, from destination weddings to corporate meetings.
What group mode actually changes
A group is not just a discount. It is a contract negotiated with the tour operator, deposit and cancellation terms specific to your file, and an advisor who keeps the passenger list current. When someone drops out three weeks before departure, the advisor redoes the numbers, not you.
The groups we build most often
- Extended families and reunions, often in the all-inclusive South
- Destination weddings, with one package for the couple and one for the guests: see wedding in the South
- Escorted departures already organized, for people who want a group without forming one: see organized trips
- Synergia network departures, fishing, safari and guided expeditions
- Companies, meetings and recognition travel: see corporate travel and incentive travel
- Sports clubs, choirs, associations and groups of friends built around one activity
How a group file unfolds
- You tell us who is travelling, when, where and how much room the budget leaves.
- An advisor sounds out the tour operators and comes back with one or two priced proposals, in Canadian dollars.
- You choose, and the seats are held on the terms negotiated for your file.
- Each participant confirms their own booking, and the advisor tracks payments and documents.
- You leave, and you have a number to call if anything shifts along the way.
What Quebec law guarantees you
Voyages AquaTerra holds Quebec permit 702703, issued by the Office de la protection du consommateur. Booking with a permit holder gives you access to the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents, which covers supplier bankruptcy among other things. Customer contributions to that fund have been suspended since 1 January 2024.
Talk to someone before you commit
A group project is better discussed than shopped. Write to us through the contact page, or find the advisor closest to you among the network’s thousand-plus advisors.
