Frequently Asked Questions
No. Aurora sells on a room-only basis and meals are settled on property, à la carte or according to the package booked. Even breakfast is charged separately on the standard rate. Two packages exist, one built around golf and one around the spa, and both include breakfast. Your AquaTerra advisor will confirm exactly what your rate covers.
178 suites, villas and private residences, spread between Rendezvous Bay and Merrywing Bay across roughly 121 hectares. Categories run from a 65 m² room in The Tower to five-bedroom villas of nearly 900 m² and the Estates at about 585 m², with a private pool and butler service.
Yes. Aurora was created by merging CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa on the Rendezvous Bay side with The Reef by CuisinArt on the Merrywing Bay side. The rebranding took place in late 2021, after Best Buy founder Richard Schulze acquired the property through Olympus Ventures. The two now operate as a single resort.
There is no direct flight from Montreal to Anguilla. You fly nonstop to Sint Maarten in just under five hours, then reach Anguilla by the public ferry from Marigot, a 20 to 25 minute crossing, by private sea shuttle, or on a short connecting flight. The resort is then eight minutes from the Blowing Point dock and about 8 km from Anguilla's airport. Allow a full day of travel.
Rendezvous Beach is the historic side, quieter and pricier, with the white domed architecture and three restaurants. Merrywing Beach is more family-oriented and more affordable, and includes The Tower and the large family pool. One decisive point: Merrywing accommodation closes from 15 July to 31 October.
No, green fees are added to the room rate unless you book the Aurora Classic golf package, which includes a daily round and a cart on the International course. Aurora International Golf Club is the only course on Anguilla: 18 holes, par 72, designed by Greg Norman and remastered in 2022, plus the nine-hole Avalon Links short course.
Yes. Access to the water park and activity centre is complimentary for guests. The park has a zero-entry lagoon pool, three slides open from 122 cm, a lazy river of about 425 metres and a swim-up bar, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The activity centre adds eleven pickleball courts, two tennis courts, a climbing wall and mini-golf.
Yes, and it is the property's main argument on an island otherwise built for couples. The kids' club runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the teen club 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two-double-bed layouts are common, and the three to five-bedroom villas accommodate extended families.
Six restaurants, two cafés and two lobby bars. Chef's Table, C Level and Tokyo Bay on the Rendezvous side, Breezes and Sole di Mare on the Merrywing side, and D Richard's at the golf clubhouse, the only steakhouse on the island. The resort's organic and hydroponic farm supplies the kitchens and hosts private dinners.
Merrywing accommodation closes from 15 July to 31 October, Sorana Spa from 17 August to 15 October, and the Avalon Links course from 6 July to 15 October. The International course then opens Thursday to Sunday only. Chef's Table and the Rendezvous lobby bar reopen on 16 October. These dates change from year to year, so have them confirmed before booking.
