No, they anchor west of Goat Island in Narragansett Bay. Tenders reach Perrotti Park in about ten minutes, a block from the shops on Thames Street, with a visitor centre right there.
Partly. Thames Street, Bowen's Wharf, Bannister's Wharf and the colonial quarter are all walkable. The Bellevue Avenue mansions and the Cliff Walk, however, need a short taxi or shuttle ride.
Tour one of the great houses — The Breakers or Marble House — walk a stretch of the Cliff Walk near the Forty Steps, about an hour there and back, then return to the wharves for Thames Street and the colonial quarter.
