It does not dock: ships anchor in the lagoon off Garapan and passengers come ashore by tender. You land steps from a coastal path linking the landing, the parks and the heart of the small capital.
Garapan, yes: a shaded seafront walk under flame trees, public beaches, shops and restaurants grouped along a few streets, plus the American Memorial Park. The northern cliffs, the Grotto and Mount Tapochau, however, need an excursion or a vehicle.
